unofficial latte
So I walked into a local Starbucks today in search of a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I'd heard it wasn't available until September 5th or 6th. But I thought I'd check anyway. I asked the barista. She glanced quickly from side to side and whispered, "Well . . . it's not officially available yet. But we have the pumpkin spice syrup. We can make you one since you asked. Just don't tell anybody."

Just kidding. I asked yesterday, and they told me Tuesday morning. They just like you more than they like me. I'm okay with that. You are pretty darn likable.
How unaccommodating! You'll have to find a kinder, gentler Starbucks. :)

Aw....Starbucks employees can be really nice sometimes. Like you, I love the pumpkin spice in the fall, but in the summer I like Mocha Coconut Frappucinos. And the last time I went in, I asked if they sold the coconut syrup because a lot of stores were already out of it for the year. I had a plan that I'd take my syrup bottle with me when I went to starbucks and have them squirt it in my Mocha Frap to make it a Mocha Coconut Frap. As it turns out, they did have some still left that they sold me. But the barista went one step further and gave me one of their pumps to put in it along with the exact numbers of 'pumps' I would need of all flavorings, so that it would be the exact same Frap I'm used to getting...ha! How nice of him to go to that extra effort. I'm going to attempt to secure a bottle of the Pumpkin Spice now too....then I'm set for the entire year!!! :o)
PS...I am hungry and coveting your latte, so now I have plans to hit up S'sB tomorrow and see if I can't coerce them into an early one as well. Thanks for the idea! :o)

I can't wait get one of these on my way up to my show in PA next weekend. There are no Starbucks close to where I live but I am sure I will find one on the way up to PA!

That's good info to know. I've seen ads that Dunkin' Donuts has all their pumpkin stuff out already. I'm sure Tim Horton's isn't far behind. Lots of places to get your pumpkin fix!

Ah, yes! With the arrival of Pumpkin Spice Latte, Autumn's officially here.
In their defense, I really only frequent Starbucks for the pumpkin items. If I were a regular, I'm sure they would have been more accommodating.
