If there was one thing I had been looking forward to about last weekend's hurricane, it was the time it would give me to work on Halloween props. At least one full day, perhaps two. Stuck inside. Nowhere to go. Nothing to do except focus on Halloween. My productivity was going to be astounding. Simply astounding. And it began well. While the sun was still shining, I got a start on a few flowers for my haunted garden.
But then the storm arrived. And I spent the weekend watching live coverage of Earl on the weather network and eating junk food and drinking wine. And rum. And hard lemonade. While my good intentions languished in the basement amongst the flowers and trees and grasshoppers. All in various stages of completion.
But now another weekend has arrived. One that I am determined to devote to prop building. Rain or shine. I know my productivity will be astounding. Simply astounding.

I so hear you on this. I'm a horrid procrastinator and all these wonderful things I have planned to work on is when it gets a little cooler, when I get home a little earlier, right after Labor Day, when I get back from shopping...
I laugh because I know the feeling, my productivity will also be astounding today.
Today was a lazy day for me. I want those days to get here during the busy week, but they're here it can be rather aggravating.
Keep up the good work! KUDOS!!!
I often want to be productive but fail miserably to be so.
At least you accomplished the drinking you've been putting off for some time.
;)
Uh yeah....mine was supposed to have been astounding today too and well, I went out shopping and drinking Pumpkin Spice Mocha Frappucino's instead. Oh well...tomorrow is another day, who knows! :o)
Yes, the drinking was at least accomplished. As much as I try to deny it, I'm beginning to think I work best under pressure. :/
Love your site! I love finding fellow Canadians unexpectedly on the net, esp. when they have neat blogs.
I have 14 things on the go. And while I'm doing one thing I'm thinking about another and then I get overwhelmed. So, In reality I'm only productive a good solid 3 weeks out of the year. Because you've got to be in just the right mood. Today I could be productive but I think thrift store shopping for all of those Halloweeny projects is more like it.
Wine also sounds like a fabulous idea...
Cheers!

Thanks for stopping by, Lovewithoutyourheartbeat. Wine is always a fabulous idea. :)
That's the way it goes sometimes. Plus - who can resist storm-coverage, junk food and rum? Not me!
