goodbye Earl

Earl has come and gone. And while I feared for the lives of my pumpkins at more than one point, they seem to have been spared an early death. Although I can't say the same for many of the leaves and vines.

At least the pumpkins are still there and you didn't make the news as the crazy lady guarding her pumpkin!

I am glad the pumpkins are ok. Ever thought of putting a scarecrow in your patch?

PL - I was VERY relieved they survived. I didn't want to be famous anyway. ;)

Guillaume - Earl wouldn't have been scared of a scarecrow. :)

I absolutely LOVE your blog. I'm now an addict! It's good to see someone putting Halloween in its proper place without the gore and guts--just plain old Halloween.

I got in a Halloween mood one evening and stumbled across your blog on a search engine. Each of the entries remind me so much of when I was a kid. Your postings truly bring a smile to my face, as I know they do all who read your blog. PURE NOSTALGIA, especially in an ever-changing world.

STAY THE SAME! Keep up the excellent work, take care of those pumpkins, and keep those goblins in line!

THANK YOU FROM JASON IN TENNESSEE!

At first I thought that Earl was the name of your pumpkin and something had happened to it....but I get it now!

@Halloween Spirit-That's what you think! It would have been great to have a scary, creepy scarecrow in your pumpkin patch anyway.

RIP Earl :-( Maybe he has been reincarnated into one of the pumpkins at the supermarket?

Sorry about Earl. I lost all my babies this spring when it wouldn't stop raining...
