Plan B of the Halloween tree project will be in progress this week. Now that I've finally gotten around to going out and getting the dye. I'm curious to see how (or if) it turns out.
I remain optimistic. But following the unfortunate incident with the spray paint and styrofoam, I'm also quietly formulating Plan C.

Fingers firmly crossed that it works out for you, dear! I'm excited to see how the tree turns out (no matter how many plans it takes, I'm sure it will be wonderful!).
Big hugs!

best of luck! sounds like a messy endeavor!!
Fingers crossed for you!
My husband had the same experience with styrofoam and spray paint that you had. His solution was to paint on a latex primer before then using the spray paint. He also said something about using a water-based spray paint.
Really looking forward to seeing how your trees turn out. :)
Thanks, all :) I'm hoping this works.
cayennefool - Thanks for the tips. I'll file those under Plan C. :D
The fact that you keep trying is why I adore you. I would have given up immediately. No...I probably would have convinced myself the project was too large, and found a way to buy a tree - lol! Good luck with the dye!
Rue - Not sure how many letters of the alphabet I'll go through before giving up :D
LOL! I just love your blog....makes me want to take more chances....or actually share all the times I mess things up...yes, it happens a lot at the Graveyard! LOL!
Good luck with the dye and Krylon does make a water based spray paint...a bit spendy, but it does work.
Cheers!
Thanks FQ - That will definitely be on the list for Plan C :)
